Bed & Breakfast Description

A local landmark, Westlawn was built in 1880 for the town's first family physician Dr. Samuel Brigland and was the first brick home to be built in Bracebridge. This elegant, award winning home has been exquisitely restored from the beautiful wood floors to the plaster crown mouldings, showcasing magnificent architectural details. Carefully chosen furnishings bring together period antiques, family heirlooms, and reproductions to create the mood of long ago charm, romance, and timeless hospitality.

Begin your morning with a full, gourmet breakfast served in the formal dining room. Take your coffee outdoors and curl up with a book on the wrap around veranda or enjoy it poolside while listening to the gentle waterfall. Join fellow guests for an afternoon social with a complimentary glass of wine and light hors d'oeuvres prepared by your hosts.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Bracebridge, walk to restaurants, theatre, beach, boat cruise, tennis, paddle board, canoe & kayak rentals, bicycle rentals, and the Trans Canada hiking trail. Visit the Farmer's Market or enjoy music in the park. It is a short drive to artisan studios and Algonquin Park.
