What is Introductory Membership?

Ontario Bed & Breakfasts who join and list their properties on are invited to join FOBBA immediately, either as a full member, or as a one-year Introductory Member. Introductory membership provides new Bed & Breakfasts with the opportunity to become familiar with the professional association representing Bed & Breakfasts in Ontario, and to consider becoming full members sometime within the next year.

Introductory membership has many of the benefits of full membership. As an Introductory Member, you will receive:

  1. Access to the Members-only section of the FOBBA website.
  2. Your B&B is included in a listing of Introductory Members on the FOBBA website.
  3. Access to the FOBBA Introductory Member Logo to put on your website with a link back to the FOBBA website.
  4. Information about the FOBBA Inspection & Star Rating process.
  5. Monthly FOBBA e-Newsletters containing industry news; upcoming events; updates on our strategic plan, tourism partnerships and marketing initiatives; recipes and more.
  6. Member pricing on conferences / materials for one year.

As Introductory Members have not been inspected, they cannot use the FOBBA 5-star logo and will not have access to other full member benefits, such as personalized webpage or participation in Resorts of Ontario marketing and preferred supplier programs.

If you wish to apply for Introductory Membership status, please send a request to Diane Tolstoy, Introductory Membership Director, at
