Welcome to Wit's End B&B - conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown Gravenhurst, Segwun and Wenonah II cruises, and the Gravenhurst Opera House. Enjoy the view of broad fields and 180 degrees of open sky - a stargazer's delight. Inside you will find charming casual decor, cozy touches, and the comforts of your home away from home.
We offer queen, double, and single beds in our second floor guest area, and offer a special rate for a group that "books the whole house" for two nights or more.
Guests enjoy the view from our three-season sunroom. Plan your next excursion, chat, watch the birds and whatever wildlife chooses to wander by, or just 'veg out' on the daybed. You might choose to relax with a book or a movie in the family room with comfortable reclining wing chairs.
We love doing breakfasts! The house specialty is our version of Eggs Florentine in phyllo pastry served with grilled peameal bacon. Other favourites include our creamy "Breakfast Parfait", fresh crisp waffles topped with fruit and Muskoka maple syrup, individual quiches -or good ol' bacon and eggs "country style" if that's what you prefer. Also included are a fruit dish, home-made baked goods and preserves. Please tell us when you book if you have special dietary needs or allergies. Breakfast is usually served in the sunroom, but in cooler weather we move inside to the informal ambiance of the dining room.
We are just one hour from the west gate of Algonquin Park. If you want a good early start to see the moose in May, we'll pack a portable breakfast for you to munch on in the car. Many of our guests tell us they see more wildlife from the breakfast table than they do during a day in the park! Come and see for yourself!
