We are near everything you need for a great vacation or just a weekend getaway. A sandy beach and boat launch are just steps away on Lake Simcoe and a short drive takes you to fine dining, summer theatre, golf, mountain biking, shopping, boat cruises, historic sites, wildlife areas and great scenery. We are just 15 minutes to Barrie and 10 minutes to Orillia. We also offer wireless internet service.
Our house sits on wide lawns and is surrounded by flower beds. We have numerous bird houses which are well used and many of our summer guests enjoy a quiet afternoon on the Verandahs, cooled by the lake breezes and serenaded by bird songs.
A winter visit to The Verandahs will put you in the centre of numerous activities including ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross-country and downhill skiing. Our nearby cross-country ski resort is one of the few which makes snow.
You will be served a full and homemade breakfast of gourmet quality with freshly brewed coffee or tea. You will be serenaded by soft music as you enjoy breakfast in the spacious dining room surrounded by large windows.
Our cozy guest sitting room features a wood-burning firelace TV/VCR and many games for our guests' pleasure. We enjoy people so come visit us!
