This 1.4 acre riverfront property is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, on the east bank of the Muskoka River in Bracebridge. An order of Anglican brothers, The Society of Saint John the Evangelist, ministered to the region from 1928-1983 from this monastery. The property was divided into three private residences in 1988, and this centre section, distinguished by a working bell tower, has been tastefully renovated into a 4,000 square-foot light and airy home.
Bracebridge is very central to all the fabulous attractions that Muskoka offers. Our location is a two-minute drive to Hwy 11 or to downtown, or walk to the town centre in about 10 minutes (1.3km). Explore interesting boutiques, galleries, restaurants. Tour the historic walkways around the town's main waterfall.
Nature is right at hand from our property also - access to Wilson's Falls Hiking trail is about 1 block away. This delightful route runs 1km upriver to Wilson's Falls, where it connects to the Trans-Canada Trail.
Creative and elegant breakfasts are served in either the formal dining room or the kitchen/family room oak table looking out at the river ravine. Daily hot breakfast house specialties are complemented by seasonal fruits, home-baked items and specialty teas and coffees. Relax in central air-conditioned common areas and guest rooms, or on the peaceful grounds overlooking a forest and river. All our rooms are very spacious and include private or ensuite washrooms. The Palmer Room is a bright, oversized room with large ensuite washroom, change room, and queen bed. Our Suites offer extra space and flexibility - two bedrooms and a 3-piece washroom linked by a private hallway. The Larkin Suite on the ground floor has queen and double beds; the Sadler Suite upstairs has 2 twin 4-poster sleigh beds and a double. Colour cable televisions are in all the units (only in one room of each suite). Wireless broadband internet access is available throughout the house.

Bed & Breakfast DirectionsFrom the south, take Highway 11 to the third Bracebridge turnoff (Exit #189) - Taylor Road - Muskoka Rd 42. Take Taylor Road west (right) 1.0 km to set of lights just past Travelodge on left. Turn right onto Pine Street, then immediate left onto Maple Street. Follow to third right - Sadler Drive ... #15 is about 100 yds on the left (look for the bell tower!).
