Fine lodging and comfort await you at the SleepingGiant B&B. It is located in a quiet residential area located within 4 km from the airport, HWY 11/17 and the Regional Health Sciences Centre (Hospital), Lakehead University and Confederation College as well as being close to many of our fine golf courses and athletic clubs. The home is a bungalow on the outside but a palace on the inside with a lot of charm. Guests find the home to be a very relaxing and calming place to stay. The common areas include a beautiful sun room complete with fireplace and formal dining as well as the den and the kitchen. Guests have access to wireless internet, private TV/phone and laundry facilities ($5.00/load).
Your hostess Sonja VanRooyen established the Sleeping Giant Bed and Breakfast in 1996. It has been her dream come true. Her gardens have won the Horticultural Beautification Award and have been featured on many local chariable garden tours. Each guest can find a private sitting area in the gardens or on the decks.
As well there Sonja is a watercolour artist and guests will enjoy her art gallery upon arrival. Also as a note of interest she has purchased a second location. Brody Manor will be up and running by 2009. It is a 105 year old character home located at 427 N. Brody Street.
