Ridgemoor was built in 1986 in the middle of a 90 acre woodlot. The home is named after the five ridges and four moors or low areas that run across the property from east to west and drain surface water into the big creek and grand river.Although the original white pine were harvested about eighty years ago only a few acres were cultivated.A mixed deciduous forest has established itself naturally on the cleared land, and most of the cultivated land was planted with walnut, larch and white pine about eighteen years ago.Ridgemoor provides a private but convenient accomadation option.

exit hwy403 at wilson st,take wilson st. west towards brantford 400yds then turn left at the first intersection onto shaver rd.Go south 1 mile to 902 which is on the west side of the road and has red brick gateposts and lane leading into the bush.
