Montrose Inn is one of the best examples of 'ante bellum' architecture in Ontario. This magnificent mansion was built in 1916 on 7.5 acres overlooking the Bay of Quinte. This luxury bed and breakfast offers four graciously appointed guest rooms, each with French doors to access sitting areas on the upper verandah. Relax and enjoy conversation in the graceful drawing room, curl up with your favourite book in front of the fire in the library. Savour the candlelit, gourmet breakfast in the elegant, oak-panelled dining room amidst antiques, fine china, and crystal.
Montrose Inn is open year round and is close to theatre, golf, Prince Edward County, antique and craft shops, wineries, and museums. Albert College, Loyalist College and Sir James Whitney School are also nearby. There are pets in our home and guests are asked to inquire about bringing their children and/or pets.
"Duchess of Montrose Tea Room" offers Afternoon Tea on Thursday, Friday and Sunday afternoons from 12.00 - 4.00 p.m. by reservation.
