The pictures tell the story. Our B&B is nestled in a forested ravine in the heart of downtown Huntsville. In this quiet corner of town you get the best of both worlds. Algonquin Retreat gives you the sense of being in a lodge in the wilderness of Algonquin Park, yet you are a mere five minute walk to the waterfront in the centre of town where you can rent canoes and bikes and explore our unique shops.
Huntsville boasts a variety of restaurants from elegant fine dining to Harvey's and everything between. We have sample menus to help you find a dining experience to suit your requirements for an enjoyable meal. Muskoka has been our home for over thirty years and we are delighted to share with our guests our maps, guide books, and touring information as well as our knowledge and love of the natural scenic tours available here.
Seasons are dramatic in Muskoka. The autumn leaves are the most vibrant in all of Canada, our winter snow is pristine and provides a great base for outdoor activities, spring features moose, water birds and wild flowers and summer welcomes swimmers, boaters and sightseers to the area.
We welcome you to stay at Algonquin Retreat Bed and Breakfast any day of the year for a wonderful woodland experience.
